welcome to this electronic forum (chat) that has been designed as a part of e-conference STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION OF ANTARCTIC ECOSYSTEMS.
 

Allow me to express my wish that the e-forum will serve today as an effective, useful and open platform for discussion on Antarctic research - not only professional items but also those things attracting general public.
 

Please feel free to rise your questions to any of the e/participants of the conference. I suppose, the questions will be related not only to the Abstarcts and Contributed papers published at this web site but also to general problems of Antarctic research.

I hope you will enjoy such electronic discussion and obtain relevant answers to your questions (Sorry, we are not able to serve hot drinks electronically to support discussion).

Dear participants,

The conference Structure  and  Function  of  Antarctic  Terrestrial  Ecosystems will be officially opened by the authorities of the Masaryk University, Brno and representatives of the Czech National Center for Polar Regions Research on October 22th 2009 at 9:00. At the same time, Conference Abstracts and Contributed papers will be published on the conference web page so that participants and scientific community will be able to browse and read the abstracts and contributed papers.

On October 23th 2009, there will be an on line chat available on the conference web page. Participants of the conference and also specialists in the field, as well as general public interested in Antarctic reasearch are encouraged to join the chat discussion. The discussion will be oriented to the presented Abstracts and Contributed papers, however, any topic relater to the Antarctic terrestrial ecosystems might be included. Each participant who has already registered on the conference web page will be given an access code in advance. Others will be given the access code after the first login to the chat window.

Vážený účastníku konference,

E-konference Struktura  a  funkce  AntarktickÝch  terestrických  ekosystémŮ bude oficiálně zahájena zástupci vedení Masarykovy univerzity, Brno a představiteli Českého národního centra pro výzkum polárních oblastí dne 22. října 2009. V ten samý okamžik budou na webovské stránce konference zpřístupněny texty abstraktů a příspěvků (u některých příspěvků i postery v elektronické formě) tak, aby si je účastníci mohli prohlédnout, přečíst a prostudovat.

Dne 23.10.2009 od 9:00 hodin bude na webovské stránce konference zpřístupněn chat tak, aby se účatníci konference, odborná i laická veřejnost mohli vyjádřit k obsahu abstraktů a příspěvků a reagovat v on line diskusi. Předmětem diskuse mohou být i další témata vztahující se k Antarktickým terestrickým ekosystémům. Každému účastníkovi konference, který se dosud zaregistroval na web stánkách konference, bude v předstihu přiděleno přístupové heslo do chatu. Další účastníci chatové diskuse dostanou přístupové heslo přiděleno při prvním nalogování do interaktivního chatového okénka.
