Filipendulo ulmariae-Geranietum palustris

This wet tall-forb grassland type dominated by Filipendula ulmaria develops after abandonment from mown meadows of the alliance Calthion palustris on base- and nutrient-rich soils. It is widespread across the country, with the exception of dry lowlands and the highest mountain areas.

Constant species: Alopecurus pratensis, Angelica sylvestris, Caltha palustris, Cirsium oleraceum, Equisetum palustre, Filipendula ulmaria, Geranium palustre, Lathyrus pratensis, Poa trivialis, Sanguisorba officinalis, Scirpus sylvaticus

Dominant species: Cirsium oleraceum, Filipendula ulmaria, Geranium palustre
