Alysso alyssoidis-Sedion Oberdorfer et Müller in Müller 1961

This alliance encompasses communities of vernal therophytes and succulents occurring on base-rich rock outcrops, especially limestone, and in disturbed places within limestone grasslands. It is distributed in warm and dry areas on the fringes of a number of western, central and south-eastern European mountain ranges.

Orig. (Müller 1961): Alysso-Sedion Oberd. et Th. Müller 61 (Alyssum alyssoides, Sedum acre, S. album, S. boloniense ~ S. sexangulare, S. rupestre ~ S. reflexum)

Diagnostic species: Acinos arvensis, Allium flavum, Alyssum alyssoides, A. montanum, Arabis auriculata, Arenaria serpyllifolia agg., Centaurea stoebe, Cerastium pumilum s. l., Echium vulgare, Erophila spathulata, Erysimum crepidifolium, Holosteum umbellatum, Iris pumila, Medicago minima, Melica transsilvanica, Poa bulbosa, Saxifraga tridactylites, Sedum acre, S. album, Seseli osseum, Teucrium botrys, Thlaspi perfoliatum, Veronica praecox; Syntrichia ruralis, Tortella inclinata

Constant species: Acinos arvensis, Arenaria serpyllifolia agg., Centaurea stoebe, Echium vulgare, Poa bulbosa, Sedum acre, S. album; Ceratodon purpureus, Syntrichia ruralis
