Minuartio setaceae-Seslerietum caeruleae

This is an association of Sesleria caerulea grasslands occurring on limestone slopes of the Pavlovské vrchy hills in southern Moravia. It is rich in dry grassland species and also contains several species distributed on the limestone fringes of the Alps and Carpathians which are absent from other Sesleria grasslands of the Czech Republic.

Nomen inversum propositum et nomen mutatum propositum

Orig. (Klika 1931b): Sesleria calcaria-Alsine setacea-Assoziation (Sesleria calcaria ~ S. caerulea, Alsine setacea ~ Minuartia setacea)

Syn.: Seslerio-Caricetum humilis Sillinger 1930 (§ 31, younger homonym: non Carici humilis-Seslerietum calcariae Zlatník 1928)

Diagnostic species: Achillea pannonica, Acinos arvensis, Allium flavum, A. senescens subsp. montanum, Alyssum montanum, Anthericum ramosum, Anthyllis vulneraria, Arenaria grandiflora, Asplenium ruta-muraria, Biscutella laevigata, Campanula sibirica, Centaurea triumfettii, Dianthus lumnitzeri, Erysimum odoratum, Festuca pallens, Galium glaucum, Hieracium bifidum, Inula ensifolia, Jovibarba globifera subsp. hirta, Medicago prostrata, Melica ciliata, Minuartia setacea, Poa badensis, Potentilla arenaria, Sanguisorba minor, Scabiosa ochroleuca, Sedum album, Seseli osseum, Sesleria caerulea, Stachys recta, Taraxacum sect. Erythrosperma, Tephroseris integrifolia, Teucrium montanum, Thalictrum foetidum, Thymus praecox; Cladonia pyxidata, Ditrichum flexicaule, Fissidens dubius, Tortella tortuosa
