Dauco carotae-Crepidetum rhoeadifoliae

This association includes open vegetation with Crepis foetida subsp. rhoeadifolia, which is developed on warm, sunny sites with dry, shallow and skeletal soils. It occurs in railway stations, on dumping sites, on dykes and in quarries. In the Czech Republic it is a rather rare plant community occurring in warm and dry areas.

Orig. (Hejný et al. 1979): Dauco-Crepidetum rhoeadifoliae Hejný et Grüll (Crepis rhoeadifolia = C. foetida subsp. rhoeadifolia. Daucus carota)

Diagnostic species: Carduus acanthoides, Crepis foetida subsp. rhoeadifolia, Daucus carota. Melilotus albus. Verbascum densiflorum. V. thapsus; Bryum argenteum

Constant species: Achillea millefolium agg. (predominantly A. collina), Artemisia vulgaris, Crepis foetida subsp. rhoeadifolia, Daucus carota. Plantago lanceolata. Taraxacum sect. Ruderalia; Bryum argenteum, Ceratodon purpureus. Syntrichia ruralis

Dominant species: Crepis foetida subsp. rhoeadifolia, Daucus carota, Sedum acre. Tripleurospermum inodorum

Formal definition: Crepis foetida subsp. rhoeadifolia cover > 5 %
