Plastic electronics is an expanding technology with a large variety of different applications. For example flexible photovoltaic (PV) cells are approaching efficiencies of 20%, and are rapidly closing the performance and cost gap on bulk silicon PV cells.
The aim of proposed dissertation work is to develop technically simple and cost-efficient plasma techniques for surface modification of different substrates and insulation/conductive polymer layers used in plastic electronic. The research work will be performed in close collaboration with the Materials Research Centres at the BUT Faculty of Chemistry and Dresden University of Technology.
