Characteristics

The field of study of Geometry is focused on differential geometry, global analysis and algebraic topology. An important role is played by diploma thesis. It determines not only the choice of optional courses but mainly the specialization of further independent study. The aim of the study is to introduce basic notions and methods of disciplines connected to modern differential geometry. Beside these broader foundations every student will have deep knowledge from the branch of his/her diploma thesis. This study field is possible to study only in Czech language.

Graduate Profile

The graduates will obtain very good knowledge of differential geometry and topology. They have developed geometrical imagination and abstract and conceptual thinking. They can work at any position where such abilities are necessary; especially in basic research, university teaching, creating geometrical models in technical and scientific branches, in creating software.

Entrance examinations

A written or oral examination on the level of Bachelor's degree examination of the corresponding Bachelor's field of study is required.
