WINTER POLAR geosciences COURSE  2016

Instructors and 10 students from different czech universities are taking part in the winter polar geosciences course. We are interested in snow physical properties, snow cover conditions in relationship with landscape morphological features and specific winter atmospheric conditions. For now we were not lucky with the famous aurora borelias, but we already had a chance to examine fresh avalanche site,  ice cave and many other interesting winter point of interest. All participants have undergone a safety course to get familiar with behaviour of polar bears, but fortunatelly we didint meet any. Lets see the photo highlights of the  course.
