Abundance
Abundance is understood as the expression of the quantitative representation of a particular species in a locality. If represented in several localities, the average value of abundance is given. The percentage representation of a species within a particular group expresses its dominance. Significant values of abundance are given only in case of fairly extensive investigations. The comparative abundance (dominance) is expressed on a five-degree scale as follows:
A1 |
very rare subrecedent less than 1% |
A2 |
rare recedent 1.0-2.0% |
A3 |
fairly numerous subdominant 2.1-5.0% |
A4 |
numerous dominant 5.1-10.0% |
A5 |
very numerous eudominant over 10% |
