Loto-Potentilletum is the most common saline grassland type of the Czech Republic, but it lacks most of the specialized halophytic plants, and the core of its species composition consists of facultative halophytes. Earlier it was found near saline springs and at communal pastures around villages. Today it is typical of trampled sites such as village football grounds. It is distributed in dry lowlands of northern and central Bohemia as well as in southern Moravia.
