Isolated from: Leaves of coltsfoot (Tussilago farfata L.), growing on a mercury-contamined soil in an industrial area; Poland.
Additional information: Type (). Forms biofilm, produces siderophores. Presence HgCl2 prevents plasmid loss. Resistance to heavy metals (predicted resistance to cobalt, zinc, cadmium, chromate, nickel, silver and arsenic). Mer operon on a plasmid.
Cultivation conditions: Medium 71 with 0,01% of HgCl, 2 days.
