Medium 169: RAE MEDIUM

  Glucose                    40 g
  Pepton                     10 g
  Yeast extract              10 g
  Citric acid              1.37 g
  Na2HPO4.2H2O             3.38 g
  Agar                       15 g
  Distilled water           980 ml

  Sterilized at 121°C for 20 min.

  Add 10 ml of glacial acetic acid 
  and 10 ml of absolute ethanol 
  (sterilized using filtration)

  Final pH ca. 3.8 (pH is not adjusted)
