Masaryk University Measure No. 5/2023


                                          MINIMUM AMOUNT

                        OF SCHOLARSHIP TO SUPPORT DOCTORAL STUDIES IN 2024


                          (in the version effective from 1 January 2024)


In accordance with Section 10(1) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on
Modification and Amendment of Other Acts (Higher Education Act), as later amended (hereinafter
referred to as the “Act”) and in relation to Section 6 of the Masaryk University Scholarship and
Bursary Regulations, I issue the following Measure:


                                             Section 1

                                   Minimum Amount of Scholarship

(1)     The minimum amount of the scholarship for the support of studies in the doctoral degree
programme in the period from 1 January 2024 to 31 August 2024 is 15,000 CZK/month.

(2)     The minimum amount of the scholarship for the support of studies in the doctoral degree
programme in the period from 1 September 2024 to 31 December 2024 is 16,000 CZK/month.

(3)     The scholarship under subsection 2 may be reduced to the minimum amount of CZK
12,000/month, provided that the sum of the scholarship so reduced and any net monthly wages or
salary earned by the student for activities related to their doctoral studies as part of their
employment at MU (including agreements to complete a job (DPP) and agreements to perform work
(DPČ)) does not fall below the amount specified in subsection 2 (CZK 16,000/month).

                                             Section 2

                                         Final Provisions

(1)     I authorize the head of the RMU Research Office to interpret the individual provisions
hereof.

(2)     This Measure is part of the methodological procedure “Study Affairs in doctoral Degree
Programmes”.

(3)     The compliance with this Measure shall be inspected by the vice-rector authorized under the
Masaryk University Organizational Regulations.

(4)     This Measure shall enter into force on the day of its execution.

(5)     This Measure shall enter into effect on 1 January 2024.
