I. New Successful Projects

  • The only successful Marie Sklodowska Curie Individual Post-doctoral fellowship at MU will be awarded to Dr. IISER Mohali from the of Mathematics and Statistics. Dr. Mohali will implement his project entitled as "Models with cross interactions between partial dynamical processes aiming to understand significant or abrupt dynamic changes" under the supervision of Dr. Lenka Přibylová.

  • MSCA PF project “Assessing long-term trends in the vegetation of European habitats and evaluating the effectiveness of protected areas” of Dr. Marta Gaia Sperandii was awarded ERA Fellowship that supports MSCA PF applicants with host institution from Widening Country. Dr. Sperandii will work on her project in the research group of Prof. Milan Chytrý from the Dept. of Botany and Zoology.

  • Nine MSCA PF proposals from the Faculty of Science received more than 70% in the evaluation and thus, according to preliminary information from the MEYS, are eligible for funding from MSCA OP JAK. These are:

  • EIC PATHFINDER OPEN: collaborative projects (min. 3 partners from 3 EU MS or AS) developing radically new technology with potential to address global challenge(s) (early stages of development TLR1-4).   • HFSP Postdoctoral Fellowships: 3 years-long interdisciplinary postdoctoral projects that challenge existing paradigms by using novel approaches and techniques. For biologists and non-biological disciplines too. Deadline for 1st stage: 18.5.2022. More information available HERE.


  • DIOSCURI: 5 years-long projects support establishing new research group by talented early career scientists in the Czech Republic with scientific and managerial mentorship from senior researcher in Germany. Deadline 25.7.2022. More information available HERE.


  • MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships: research training connected with mobility within EU (European PF) or outside EU with compulsory return phase (Global PF). More information can be found on our MSCA PF SCI microsite. Deadline: 14.9.2022. More information on the call available HERE.


  • GAČR international collaborative LA grants – with German agency DFG – call open continuously, Austrian agency FWF – call open continuously, American NSF - call open continuously, Luxembourg agency FNR – deadline on 28.4.2022 and Swiss agency SNSF – deadline on 1.10.2022 pro ČR.   • TAČR M-ERA.NET 3: Supports international collaborations in the field of material research and innovation that address one of the six topics: (1) Materials for energy, (2) Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces, (3) High performance composites, (4) Functional materials, (5) New strategies for advanced material-based technologies in health applications (regenerative medicine is not supported), (6) Materials for electronics.   • TAČR DOPRAVA 2020+: Supports individual or collaborative project of applicable research aiming to enhance the development of the transport sector in the Czech Republic to reflect current social needs and accelerate the technological progress. Deadline: 1.6.2022. More information available HERE.


  • OPSEC 1. VS 2022: Czech Ministry of Interior opens call for research projects in one of the three areas: (1) Development of law enforcement capabilities, (2) Crisis preparedness of security and rescue forces or (3) Resilient society. Deadline: 8.6.2022. More information available HERE.


  • MOBILITY 23-24: MEYS open the MOBILITY calls (Czech-German, Czech-Austrian and Czech-French) for the period 2023-24. The supported projects will help finance travel and subsistence costs of trips aimed at establishing scientific cooperation with partners in Germany, Austria and France. Deadline: 30.6.2022

  • Drafts of HORIZON EUROPE Workprograms containing calls for collaborative projects under pillar two are available HERE.

  • TAČR (Technology Agency of the Czech Republic) plans to support Czech participants in future international cooperation projects focused on applied research in four specific thematic areas (below). Researchers interested in these future calls are asked to express their interest and fill in the TAČR survey HERE:
