I. Successful Projects

doc. Mgr. Dušan Kováčik, PhD. (Department of Plasma Physics and Technology) has received funding for a GA CR project entitled “Strengthening fabric-matrix interphase adhesion and enhancing high strain rate characteristics of FRP composites by surface plasma treatment of fibres.“

prof. RNDr. Petr Dobrovolný, CSc. (Department of Geography) has received funding for a GA CR project entitled “Internal climate variability over Europe“.

RNDr. Radek Jupa, Ph.D. (Department of Experimental Biology) has received funding for a GA CR project entitled “Unraveling the role of functional coordination between xylem and bark for tree resilience to drought.“

  • MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships: new call to be opened 9.4. 2025. DDL 10.9.2025. Please inform the PSO about any prospective applicants, they will receive info and support.
  • MSCA COFUND 2025: co-finances new or existing doctoral programmes and postdoctoral fellowship schemes with the aim of spreading the best practices of the MSCA including international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary research training, as well as international and cross-sectoral mobility of researchers at all stages of their career.   • MSCA Staff Exchanges 2025: MSCA Staff Exchanges involve organisations from the academic and non-academic sectors (including SMEs) from across the globe. Support is provided for international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility of R&I staff leading to knowledge transfer between participating organisations. More details available HERE.   • Advanced Collaboration Grants (EMBO): funds the visits of 1 week to 6 months in the lab of collaborator in EMBO participating country to work on joint collaborative project with biological significance. More details are available HERE. Deadline: anytime.
  • ERC Proof of Concept Grants: The ERC Proof of Concept Grants aim at facilitating exploration of the commercial and social innovation potential of ERC funded research and are therefore available only to Principal Investigators whose proposals draw substantially on their ERC funded research. More details available HERE. Deadline 17.9.2025.
  • New EIC Work Programme 2025 published for EIC Pathfinder, Accelerator and Transition schemes, the former being the most promising for multi-disciplinary research teams to undertake visionary research with the potential to lead to technology breakthroughs (grants up to €4 million).     EIC Pathfinder Open:
    You should apply if you are looking for support from EIC Pathfinder Open to realise an ambitious vision for radically new technology, with potential to create new markets and/or to provide solutions for global challenges. EIC Pathfinder Open supports early stage development of such future technologies (e.g., various activities at low Technology Readiness Levels from 1 to 4), based on high-risk/high-gain science-towards-technology breakthrough research (including ‘deep-tech’). This research must provide the foundations of the technology you are envisioning. Additional information may be found HERE. DDL 21.5.2025.
    EIC Transition: funds innovation activities that go beyond the experimental proof of principle in laboratory. It supports both the maturation and validation of your novel technology from the lab to the relevant application environments (by making use of prototyping, formulation, models, user testing or other validation tests) as well as explorations and development of a sustainable business case and business model towards commercialisation.
