I. New Successful Projects

  • Both proposals of the Faculty of Science succeeded in the call "Creation of new study programmes in progressive fields" of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Also thanks to an overall contribution of almost 50 million CZK, new degree programmes will be taught from September 2025 at the latest:
    • Virology (prof. Daniel Růžek, Department of Experimental Biology)
    • Data Analytics (prof. Jan Slovák, Department of Mathematics and Statistics)

  • Michal Zajaček, PhD. from the Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics succeeded in international collaborative LA grants funded by Czech Science Agency. His project “Weather effects in using disk continuum time delays in active galactic nuclei to measure the expansion rate of the Universe” was prepared with Polska Akademia Nauk and evaluated in Poland. The project will start on 1.1.2023 and we wish Dr. Zajaček the best of luck with the project.
