I. New Successful Projects

Prof. Tomáš Řezník (Dept. of Geography) became part of a new collaborative HORIZON EUROPE project SoilWise (An open access knowledge and data repository to safeguard soils) coordinated by Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in Belgium.

Assoc. Prof. Miroslav Králík (Dept. of Anthropology) has received funding for a project in the NAKI III program of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic entitled "Mapping the community dynamics of Anabaptist population in Moravia in the 16th and 17th centuries." The project will enable the creation of an expert database and an interactive map of Moravian New Baptist settlements.

Dr. Lukáš Dolák (Dept. of Geography) has received funding from Interreg Central Europe (2021-2027) for a project "Central European Toolbox for Mitigating Combined Consequences of Drought, Heatwaves, and Fire Weather through Regionally Tuned Forecasting".

Prof. Andrea Vetešníková Šimková (Dept. of Botany and Zoology) and Dr. Aleš Stýskalík (Dept. of Chemistry) were successful in the INTER-EXCELLENCE, INTER-ACTION (USA)

5 new grants supported by TAČR (Technology Leaders sub-programme) will be realized at Faculty of Science from Q1 2023: Prof. Luděk Bláha (RECETOX), Prof. Petra Vašina, Assoc. Prof. Pavel Souček (both Dept. of Physical Electronics), Dr. Pavlína Janovská (Dept. of Exp. Biology), Dr. Ondřej Caha (Dept. of Condensed Matter Physics)

30 new GAČR projects starting from January 2023 at Faculty of Science:

  • 25 Standard grant projects (16 of them as a principal investigator, 9 as a partner)
  • 1 JUNIOR STAR project
  • 4 LA Grants with Polish agency NCN (3 of them as a principal investigator, 1 as a partner)

EIC Pathfinder (Horizon Europe): funds collaborative (or individual) high-risk high-gain research leading to a radically new technology. Deadline 7.3.2023. More information HERE.

MSCA Staff Exchanges (Horizon Europe): collaborative research projects implemented on the basis of research staff mobility between involved organizations. It funds only international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility. Deadline 8.3.2023. More information HERE.

HFSP (Human Frontier Science Program) - two types of three years-long grants: (1) individual Early Career research grant and (2) collaborative interdisciplinary Program research grant. Deadline for Letter of Intent 24.3.2023. More details available HERE.

EMBO Installation grant (EMBO) supplementary funding for early career group leaders in life sciences to establish their new independent research group. Deadline 15.4.2023. More information available HERE.

ERC Advanced (Horizon Europe): supports leading principal investigators who want long-term funding to pursue a ground-breaking, high-risk project (> 12 years since PhD defence). You can apply for up to 2,5 mil. EUR for 5 years. Deadline 23.5.2023. More information available HERE.

TA ČR

 

INTERREG Austria - Czechia 2021-2027. The submission of the projects is scheduled for early 2023. More details on the programme documents, pleace click HERE.

INTERREG V-A SK-CZ - INTERREG V-A - Slovak Republic - Czech Republic. The EC has approved the programme for the new programming period 2021 - 2027. The new programme will fund projects that will improve the quality of life in the Slovak-Czech border region. The first calls will be launched early next year. Contact for applicants HERE.

INTERREG EUROPE 2021 - 2027 - Projects should aim to improve the implementation of regional policies and interregional institutional cooperation. Announcement of the second call for project applications is scheduled for 15 March 2023. More detailed information can be found HERE.
