Due to changes in the current epidemiological situation, the university escalation traffic light is, from Monday, October 12, 2020, switched to the red alert level.
The buildings are closed, except for the necessary staffing to maintain operation of the buildings / IT administration / HS management / distance learning, etc. Access to the buildings/laboratories is allowed for the activities necessary to ensure the continuous operation of the laboratory and for urgent work in for a project(s).
The regime of individual workplaces at departments is determined by the head of the department.
Information on the operating hours of the individual departments of the dean's office will be continuously updated on the websites of these departments:
- Students – the operating hours of the study department can be found here (students of bachelor's and subsequent master's study programs) and here (doctoral studies). If in doubt, please contact the study department by e-mail.
- Employees – www.sci.muni.cz/en/about-us/organisational-structure.
The in-person presence of students in the buildings of Faculty of Science is not permitted except for other medical programs studies, according to government regulations.
Libraries are closed, remote distribution and receipt of books without the possibility of staying in the library is allowed. More at: sci.muni.cz for the Kotlářská campus and https://kuk.muni.cz for the Bohunice campus.
Sports fields, computer classrooms, study rooms are closed.

Research laboratories – public is prohibited from entering, face masks are mandatory, and the number of persons is limited to current applicable legislation.

Our experts have devised a technique that facilitates the production of nanofibre mask filters. Now, with the help of a grant from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR), they are verifying how the plasma-treated surface of the filter handles temperature fluctuations, storage and other "pitfalls" of commercial production.
