Dear Colleagues, 

Please accept my cordial invitation to the traditional Christmas gathering of Masaryk University's Faculty of Science at the Moravian Gallery's Museum of Applied Arts in Brno (Husova 14), which will take place on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.  

This year's Advent gathering provides a unique opportunity for me to meet you all for the last time in my role as Dean. During the evening, we will recognise partners and graduates who have contributed to the good reputation of our faculty over the past year. 

The meeting will also provide an opportunity to pause, look back on the year that is coming to an end, and spend some pleasant time together away from the daily hustle and bustle of work. 

Refreshments will be provided, and there will be an opportunity to visit the Moravian Gallery's current exhibitions, all while the Jánoch dulcimer band provides atmosphere. 

PROGRAMME: 

16:00 opening 

17:30 introductory remarks and welcome 

17:40 awards ceremony for distinguished individuals and partners of the faculty, accompanied by music from the Moravian brass (Moravské žestě) Ensemble 

18:30 buffet, free entertainment, performance by the Jánoch dulcimer band  

19:00 – 21:00 tour of the permanent exhibition on the first floor and of an exhibition by fashion designer Liběna Rochová 

22:00 end
