  • The purpose of the stay is to learn crucial techniques necessary for the project/Theis. The techniques to be covered during the stay are: - Cultivation of neuronal cell line - Adhesion of neurons to EM grids - Fluorescent staining (applicable to life-cell imaging) of cellular structures and/or proteins (tubulin, actin) - Testing viability of neuronal cultures (optimal frequency of passaging, how many passages are possible without loosing viability) - Discuss possibility of cultivation in Brno (in cell culture room of the EM facility)
