BIOSKETCH AND RESEARCH INTERESTS

I completed my PhD in Ecology in 2020. My research focuses on prey-specialised spiders. I study their specialised adaptations that allow them to subdue large and dangerous prey represented by ants, termites or other spiders. In the past, I investigated mainly the predatory behaviour of these spiders. Currently, I am also interested in the venomic adaptations of these spiders. I study the efficiency of spider venoms by means of laboratory bioassays and analyse the composition of their venoms.
