Abstract

The mineral composition of Cretaceous (Santonian) sandy-clayey sediments is dominated by quartz and kaolinite Tc. The most important role in the accumulation of subordinate and trace elements play: organic matter, oxide and sulphide minerals of iron, phosphate minerals of crandallite group and clay minerals. On the basis of comparison of these element content in different coloured rock complexes (black, red, grey and white one) results that white sediments are the poorest in them. It is caused by relatively high leachibility of the most mobile elements.
