We are a research-oriented Faculty, offering undergraduate education closely linked to basic and applied research and secondary science teaching. We are the most productive scientific unit of Masaryk University. High scientific performance is a proof of excellent professional skills of the Faculty staff.

Since 2018, we have been a holder of the HR Excellence in Research Award granted by EU, and by implementing modern international practices in the care of employees and PhD students, we have joined the open European Research Area enabling the free movement of researchers.
During the year, we like to meet informally at events such as the Garden Party, Grilling with the Deans, the Advent Meeting or MUNI Day. The faculty supports activities organised by the Association of Natural Scientists or university-wide social and sports events.
