Why PannFlora?
About project
The PannFlora project focuses on the restoration and adaptation of grasslands in the Pannonian region of Central Europe. It uses regional seed and ecological maintenance methods to support biodiversity and increase the resilience of grasslands to climate change. Research, botany, and agriculture teams are involved in the development and testing. The project connects ecology, landscape architecture, and hands-on experience in seed production to find sustainable solutions for the future of grasslands. The results will benefit municipalities, green space managers, nature conservation, and everyone who cares for the landscape.
The PannFlora project was made possible thanks to the support of the Interreg Austria–Czech Republic 2021–2027 programme, co-funded by the European Union. This programme supports cooperation in environmental protection, climate adaptation, and sustainable development. Thanks to this support, we have connected teams from Austria and the Czech Republic, enabling knowledge sharing and the search for locally tailored solutions.
