Czech Rep., Slovakia, Austria - fixed lenght (ID number, short cut, encoded full species name)
Cornell condensed files used for import of tables contain only short cuts of species names. However, the JUICE program allows to display full species names, if you have a text form of the check list (it can be exported from TURBOVEG). We have prepared a special check list for Czech users, which has a nomenclature of Kubát et al. (2002): Klíč ke květeně České republiky. Academia, Praha. This nomenclature is also used in Expert system for classification of Czech vegetation data.
For those who will prefer to use the newer check list published as Danihelka J. et al. (2012): Checklist of vascular plants of the Czech republic, please download this file:
DANIHELKA2012.TXT (2021-12-13) - few new rare species were added to the list (file name: Checklist-Danihelka-et-al-2012-v2021-12-13-updated-IK.txt).
Check list for EuroVegChecklist expert system (2014-01-08)
DOWNLOAD. Check list is encrypted and can be used only within the JUICE program. It contains a list of 19,758 taxa records and their affilitation to 95 vegetation classes of European Vegetation Classification. If you will use it, cite the paper:

Available indicator scales
New indicator values for temperate and central Mediterranean Europe (Ellenberg-type scale) - experimental version. The list is a compilation of available, mostly national published Ellenberg-type indicator values, which were identified as comparable with original Ellenberg values. Data are from the running project of Lubomír Tichý, Milan Chytrý, Irena Axmanová, Jürgen Dengler, Riccardo Guarino, Florian Jansen, Gabriele Midolo, Michael P. Nobis, Koenraad Van Meerbeek and collaborators: Ellenberg-type indicator values of European vascular plant species, an algorithmic approach. ZIPPED FILE (will be available later) contains medians or averages of indicator values of the same factor across available databases, where the species has an indicator value. FULL version additionally contains approx. 500 other species, for which the values are approximated from the species cooccurence from the EVA database. The taxonomy and nomenclature of all vascular plant taxa in different indicator-value lists was unified according to the Euro+Med PlantBase (http://europlusmed.org). In case, you will use these experimental values, please give me a feetback.
Fig.: Map of Europe divided to the grid of 0,6° for latitude and 1° for longitude. The shades of green colour represent the frequency of 364.754 georeferenced vegetation plots recorded in the EVA database which can be characterised by indicator values, i.e. they consider at least five species with defined indicator value for Light, Temperature, Humidity, Soil reaction, Nutrients and Salinity. Dashed line defines the approximate area of temperate and central Mediterranean Europe, where we recommend the possible application of species indication by newly defined indicator values.
New indicator values for the Czech Republic (Ellenberg indicator scale; 2018/04/12 –
(Chytrý M., Tichý L., Dřevojan P., Sádlo J. & Zelený D. 2018. Ellenberg-type indicator values for the Czech flora. – Preslia 90: 83–103.). A dataset of indicator values for the Czech flora, with taxon names following Danihelka et al. (2012, Preslia 84: 647–811). Download HERE.
Ellenberg indicator scales
All users of KUBAT10.TXT check list can download an improved file with Ellenberg indicator values prepared by Milan Chytry here. All other users can use ELLENB.TXT file with original Ellenberg indicator values. Warrning! The nomenclature of this file need not fit with your data. The import must be corrected manually.
New indicator scale for Continentality (2017/03/01 - author: Christian Berg)
(Berg C.,Welk E. & Jäger E. J. 2017. Revising Ellenberg’s indicator values for continentality based on global vascular plant species distribution. – Appl. Veg. Sci. 20: 482–493.)
New indicator values for continentality (C-values) were proposed. The download-file C-VALUES.txt can be used in JUICE in the same way like the file ELLENB.txt. It contains all Ellenberg-Indicator values, but the new c-values instead of Ellenberg’s continentality values. The nomenclature has been adapted more into the direction of the C-Europe-Turboveg-species list.
