The Bioskop science teaching centre at Masaryk University opened a new chapter last summer. It has moved into permanent and larger premises that will allow it to further develop young people’s interest in the natural and medical sciences.

In just one month, at the beginning of January 2026, Masaryk University's 20th expedition will set off for Antarctica. In addition to scientific research, the mission will also include a significant modernisation of the medical equipment at the J. G. Mendel Czech Antarctic Station, located on James Ross Island.
