Workshops for International Employees of Faculty of Science MU
Storytelling, How to Make Convincing Arguments and Leadership Basics – three workshops held in English language that were prepared for international employees of Faculty of Science MU in cooperation with CERPEK.
The Faculty of Science MU was again involved in development of soft skills of its international employees during year 2023. In cooperation with CERPEK, we organized a series of three workshops in English language that focused on the three key aspects of communication, argumentation, and leadership.
The three-part training series included the following workshops:
- Storytelling focused on the art of storytelling and its use in a professional context as a first one in June. Participants learned, for example, how to gain and keep an audience or how to define a goal and a clear structure for their communication.
- How to Make Convincing Arguments in October developed the ability to accurately convey information, create effective arguments, and conduct a meeting using functional questions.
- Leadership Basics in November concluded the series of trainings and helped the participants to learn four key leadership skills that could be used in team communication.
All three workshops were held in Campus premises, where participants met successively with two lecturers from the Azteka educational company. Václav Strnadel guided the participants through the first two training sessions and Pavla Líčeníková took the role of lecturer in the last of the series of workshops.
We would like to thank all the participants who attended the workshops and had the opportunity to discuss the issues with lecturer in smaller group. We hope that the employees used this intensive experience to their advantage and that they will be able to apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills in their work at the Faculty of Science of MU.
