TACR - 2. Call Environment for Life 2
TA ČR in cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment announced on 28 May 2025 the second public competition in the Programme to support applied research and innovation in the field of environment, climate protection and sustainable development - Environment for Life 2.
Webinar for applicants
A webinar will be held on 9 June 2025 for those interested in submitting a proposal to this competition. No registration is required, the webinar will be available here including a recording.
Deadlines:
- Opening date for receipt of applications: 29 May 2025
- Deadline for submission of project proposal in SISTA: 23 July 2025 by 16:29:59
- Internal deadline for budget review (uploaded in SISTA application): 11.7.2025. Add Ing. Tereza Johnová and Ing. Eva Žufanová as the administrators to the SISTA application. We kindly ask all applicants to make their intention to participate in the competition known as soon as possible.
- To the HR manager Ing. Eva Žufanová, send a list of the persons of the research team you plan to include in the project proposal. You will be sent the salary range you can plan for each staff member.
- When planning personnel costs, please follow the Methodology sheet for planning personnel costs.
- Once the budget has been reviewed and agreed, you will need to upload the draft proposal to the documents in ISEP and start the electronic approval of the Evidence sheet no later than 21 July 2025.
- In case of co-financing, please send Ing. Tereza Johnová a completed affidavit of co-financing form by 21 July 2025.
- Start of the project: March 2026 at the earliest and May 2026 at the latest
- Project duration: 12-36 months
- Project termination: April 2029 at the latest
- Publication of the competition results: by 28.2.2026
- Approaching the application guarantor by 30 June 2025 at the latest. Obligation to have at least one AG from the above list (Annex 1).

- legal issues (Radim Kunc): until 9 July 2025
Basic parameters of the call:
- The competition is open only for the sub-programme (PP1): Innovation and operational research in the public interest with clearly defined priority research objectives (Annex 1)
- Allocation for the competition 460 million EUR. CZK 460,000
- The maximum rate of support per project is 85 % and the maximum amount of support per project is CZK 12 million. CZK
- Research organisations are eligible for up to 100 % support
- The applicant may be a research organisation, an enterprise or other applicants authorised by the tender documentation.
Note on the new SISTA application:
- In order to avoid unnecessary delays in granting access to SISTA to researchers and administrators (especially for proposals where MU acts as a partner), it is necessary to register a project proposal in ISEP as soon as possible with the number assigned by SISTA.
- All persons named in SISTA must have a registered account in SISTA that will be linked to the organization. Do not leave these steps to the last minute.
