  • 23 March 2022
    5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • University Campus Brno-Bohunice, Building D29 (Recetox), lecture room 252

Is it still valid Like teacher - like pupil?

The lecture will be held by Ing. Květoslava Stejskalová, CSc. from J.Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. She is dedicated to popularization and education from kindergartens to high schools and to interested university students and the public.

The teaching of chemistry can discourage but also enthuse. In the PEXED (Popularization EXperimental EDucation) educational team at the J.Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic creates programs from kindergartens to high schools, attended by teachers and students from Aš to Ostrava, and a lot of them repeatedly return. Sometimes they hear from students at the workshop that it's very easy, but that no one has ever told them like that, explained it, shown it. We ask why? As a society, we cannot do without chemistry. What can be done so that your students do not do without it and some choose it as their career? The lecture will also present specific inspirational programs and demonstrations, as well as how they popularize topics related to Jaroslav Heyrovský and polarography.

The capacity of the lecture is limited, please register here: https://forms.gle/Bj3PrmuqER7Xku8o9
