Earth Day

Celebrate Earth Day again! Games, quizzes and creative activities for children and adults will be prepared on Saturday 22 April from 9.00 to 15.00 in the area of the Botanical Garden on Kotlářská Street. The entrance will be open from Veveří Street.

This year's theme is cereals, both known and less known. Do you know amaranth, sorghum, barley? Have you ever seen a starch grain under a microscope? Do you know how to grind grain? Can you tell which stones are good for milling?

Participants will complete fun tasks in the greenhouses and in the garden, and at the end they will receive a nice reward.

Volunteers from the MU Faculty of Science Botanical Garden, the Department of Geological Sciences, the Department of Experimental Biology, the Department of Chemistry and the Society of Natural Scientists of MU are working together to organise Earth Day. External partners are the Gymnasium and ZUŠ P. Křížkovského z. s. and the initiative promoting tree watering Zalejme.cz.
