STARMUS Bratislava

The STARMUS festival is a festival of science, art and music and will take place for the first time in Central Europe from 12.5. until May 17, 2024, in Bratislava. The academic partner of the festival is also the Masaryk University, Faculty of Science.

The festival brings together Nobel laureates, scientists, astronauts, thinkers and artists who are willing to share their knowledge and experience in search of answers to big questions. The theme of the seventh annual festival in Slovakia is "Starmus Earth: the future of our home planet". Visitors can attend lectures and panel discussions by Nobel laureates, scientists, astronauts and artists. But also enjoy concerts and a number of musical performances.

NOBEL LAUREATES, SCIENTISTS, ASTRONAUTS, ARTISTS

The founders and organizers are astrophysicist Garik Israelian, and Sir Brian May, astrophysicist and legendary guitarist of the band Queen. The main personalities of this year's festival include Bill Nye, an American popularizer of science, and Dr. Jane Goodall, a biologist engaged in primate research, especially chimpanzees, American astrophysicist and Nobel Prize winner Professor Kip Thorne. Among the musicians and artists, Jean-Michel Jarre, the band The Offspring and the British comedian and writer Robin Ince will present themselves.
