Transformations of Kotlářská Street and its surroundings in the 19th and 20th centuries

Mr. Jiří Holík, a resident of Kotlářská Street, has been collecting period photographs of Kotlářská Street and its vicinity in Brno for several years. He has been going through various archives, going to study rooms, researching in books, looking up information on the Internet, asking old-timers, etc. He has managed to collect unique historical photographs that are not commonly seen anywhere else, which you can now see on the panels of this unique exhibition.
Within this exhibition there will be three screenings with Mr. Holík's interpretation of the history of Kotlářská.
The screenings in the meeting room at the greenhouses of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science, Kotlářská 2, Brno will take place on the following dates:
Tuesday, 6 May at 5 PM
Thursday 15 May at 5 PM
Saturday 24 May at 2 PM
An interpretation of the projection of historical photographs will be given by Ing. Jiří Holík, a native and resident of Kotlářská, who has been collecting period photographs for several years.
For the screening it is necessary to register by email at zahrada@sci.muni.cz, or on weekdays by calling the garden at 549 496 212.
Registration is required due to limited seating.
Admission to the event is at the regular greenhouse admission rate of 120 Kč and 60 Kč and includes the screening, a tour of the photo exhibit and the permanent plant display.
Admission is payable on site by cash or credit card only.
