Meet Our New HR Award Team 👋
The new HR Award team would like to introduce themselves—and they’re doing it a bit differently than you’re used to. Want to see how?
Representatives of the European Commission, its agencies, and national ministries for research, health, and environment met in Paris to launch the PARC project - Partnership for the Assessment of Risk from Chemicals. This European partnership has begun after two years of preparation and is supported by the Horizon Europe Framework program (2021-2027) with a grant of €400 million.
The RECETOX Research Centre has addressed the topic of environmental and health risks related to chemicals at Masaryk University for almost 40 years. In PARC, RECETOX will share not only its professional expertise but also the capacity of the RECETOX RI research infrastructure and the National Center for Toxic Substances. In the project, RECETOX is leading a work package that coordinates the technical and human capacity needed for chemical risk assessment in Europe. This also ensures the link between PARC activities and the future European research infrastructure EIRENE, which was recently included in the European Strategic Forum for Research Roadmap (ESFRI).

A year ago, Science magazine listed altermagnets as one of nine breakthrough discoveries. Now, physicists from the Masaryk University’s Faculty of Science in Brno and Osaka Metropolitan University have come up with results that further advance our understanding of this new type of magnetic material.
