The aim of this project is to create a methodology supporting the GIS learning on the elementary schools and high schools. This
methodology will also include teaching methods and teaching aids. Our aim is based on the lack of GIS supporting educational materials
for Czech schools, although GIS is a valuable and irreplaceable tool in everyday life of the contemporary world. GIS learning is a standard part of the curriculum in foreign countries, nevertheless, there is a blind spot in Czech educational system in the GIS field.
There is no document for teachers, no guide on how to transfer the rapidly developing GIS knowledge to the classroom education.
