The objective of European Partnership for Improved Composites (EPIC) is research, development and manufacturing of new hybrid composite materials based on epoxy carbon composites combined with certain types of special structured molecules (star-like and star molecules with different structure and different functional groups and molecular weight) and/or with the use of carbon nanostructures (mainly single wall carbon nanotubes) or Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxane (POSS).
