Holonomy groups of Lorentzian manifolds with parallel skew-symmetric torsion and their applications

The project focuses on Lorentzian connections with parallel skew-symmetric torsion. Among the aims of the project is the classification of the holonomy groups of such connections and finding applications to parallel spinor equations, to the Einstein equations and possibly to the construction of string theory backgrounds. An important part of the project will be a 4 month stay at the University in Marburg and collaboration with Ilka Agricola, who is an expert in field of the research.
