The plasmochemical procession of the surface of textile fibres and materials of different types used in the production of cords, hollow fibres and composite materials permits an essential and cheap increase in adhesion towards dyestuffs, impregnation ma terials and subsequently deposited thin layers. The key problem is the knowledge of interaction mechanisms between the functional groups on the surface of the fibres and the individual components of the low temperature nonisothermic plasma. Economic reas ons enforce the orientation on the plasma excited at atmospheric pressure, i.e. corona., barrier, surface and gliding electrical discharges excited as a rule in the pulse regime. It is the suggestion and design of plasmochemical reactors for the surface pre-impregnation treatment of the above types of materials. Detection and interpretation will be carried out of the radicals form formed by the method of paramagnetic resonance. Lifetimes of active free radicals will be determined depending on the type a
