From Labs to Life: PhD Journeys Unplugged
From coffee breaks to career tips, students explored the twists and turns of the PhD journey with those who’ve walked the path before them.
After a forced break, the Botanical Garden of Masaryk University’s Faculty of Science is reopening its gates to visitors as of Monday June 1 2020.
The outdoor and indoor areas will both be open to the public daily from Monday June 1 2020, from 9:00 to 17:00.
While visiting the site, it will be necessary to follow the Garden’s visiting rules and all hygienic and safety instructions (valid from June 1 2020 until further notice).

We will see how it will be with visiting the greenhouses as reconstruction of the tropical greenhouse will take place this year. We will try to make the greenhouses as accessible as possible.
Admission can be paid by credit/debit card.
Unfortunately, the Exhibition of Carnivorous Plants will not take place this year; however, other planned events should take place without any problems.

The Czech national team achieved an extraordinary triumph at the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO 2025), a prestigious competition for high school students from around the world. The event, held in Jining, China, from August 7 to 17, 2025, tested both theoretical knowledge and practical skills across disciplines such as geology, hydrology, climatology, astronomy, and environmental science. In addition, the competition evaluated research capabilities and teamwork.
