The first constituent meeting of the AS FF MU in the term of office 2023-2026 was held on 6. and 7 October 2023 at 13:30 at Křtiny Castle.

Approved Agenda of the Meeting:

1. Summary report on the election results by the Electoral Commission
2. Election of the Chairman of the AS SCI MUNI for the new term of office
3. Election of the Chairman of the AS SCI MUNI Academic Staff Chamber.
4. Election of the Chairperson of the AS SCI MUNI Student Chamber.
5. Discussion of 4 applications for the establishment of study programs N-VIR Virology, N-MIC Microscopy, N-BCT Biochemical and Cellular Technologies, B-DAE Data Analytics, and 3 applications for extension of accreditation of 4 existing study programs: 1) Extension of the accreditation of B-GEO Geology with a specialized plan, a substantial change, including a new concept of geology programs; 2) Extension of the accreditation of N-GEO Geology with a specialized plan, substantial change; 3) Extension of the accreditation of B-BIC Biochemistry with a specialized plan, substantial change

Conclusions and Resolutions Adopted:

1. The Academic Senate of the MU Faculty of Science has taken note of the summary report on the results of the elections prepared by the Elections and Mandates Committee.
2. Prof. Mgr. Vít Kudrle, Ph.D. was elected Chairman of the Academic Senate of the SCI MUNI.
3. Prof. RNDr. Jan Slovák, DrSc. was elected as the Chairman of the Academic Staff Chamber of the Academic Senate of the SCI MUNI.
4. Mgr. Tomáš Brom was elected as the Chairman of the Student Chamber of the SCI MUNI.
5. The Academic Senate of the MU Faculty of Science has discussed and agrees, in accordance with Section 27(2)(a) of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Other Acts (Act on Higher Education), as amended, of the Masaryk University Internal Regulation on Approval, Management and Quality Assessment of MU Study Programmes, with the submitted applications according to the list below, including the appointment of the respective study program guarantors, and recommends them to the MU Faculty of Science and the MU Internal Evaluation Board for approval: Establishment of the N-VIR Virology program, guarantor prof. RNDr. Daniel Růžek, Ph.D.; Establishment of the N-MIC Microscopy program, guarantor doc. 9. The Academic Senate of the SCI MUNI elected RNDr. Milan Baláž as the Chairman of the Legislative Committee.
10. The Academic Senate of the SCI MUNI approves the Organizational Regulations of the Department of Plasma Physics and Technology.
11. The SCI MUNI Academic Senate has approved the nomination of Anna Irein as a member of the MU Faculty of Arts Disciplinary Committee.
12. The Academic Senate of the SCI MUNI nominates RNDr. Pavel Lízal, Ph.D. as a faculty representative to the Council of Universities for the period 2024-2026.
13. The Academic Senate of the SCI MUNI has set the following dates for its meetings: 20 November 2023 and 11 December 2023.
