Kotlářská Campus then and now: Exhibition on the staircase of the dean's office

On the staircase of the Dean's Office at Kotlářská Campus, you can see an exhibition of 15 posters, which represent in pictures and words the transformation of the first ever campus of our faculty. The exhibition presents selected photographs from the Masaryk University Archives. They served as a guide for the well-known Brno photographer Libor Teplý, who used a plate camera to photograph the current appearance of the places in the historical photos from the same point of view. The transformation of the place is thus clearly visible, whether it is the modernization of the roadways, the blanking of chimneys, the stopping of building gaps, and the growth of vegetation.

The photographs are accompanied by texts by Magdalena Chytré, head of the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Arts, who has long been interested in the history of the site and knows about the many changes the site has undergone. The exhibition will be on the staircase of the Dean's Office until September, and then it will move to the Bohunice University Campus, where it will be placed in the corridor leading to the library. We hope you enjoy the exhibition.
