Launch of the MUNI Employee Portal

On 1 February 2022, the faculty section of the MUNI Employee Portal for MU Faculty of Science employees will be officially released. The information in the Portal is structured according to user needs in terms of "Persona" or "My situation" (e.g. a mother going on maternity leave, a new employee, a manager, a foreigner...) and "I need to..." (see icons on the right side), issue areas, operational information (e.g. about IT outages), etc. The advantage of the MUNI Employee Portal is the integrated access to individual applications and employee agendas, which everyone can personalize according to their needs.

The faculty section of the Employee Portal is a very important tool for internal communication and also one of the outputs of the HR Award project of SCI MU. You can find the Portal easily at https://portal.muni.cz/, where you use your UČO and Primary Password to log in.

On the homepage of the Portal, employees can follow the most important news from the Faculty and the University, Inet alerts, calendar, or use quick links. Most of these elements are user configurable and modifiable.

The most important faculty place on the MU Portal is the faculty directory. This directory is located on the Portal homepage under the “MU SCI” tab. The directory section lists the Dean's Office departments, quick contacts for directing questions to individual departments, or reporting a technical problem. A very important block is the "Don´t miss" messages. Among these messages, employees will find, for example, scheduled IT outages, important employee care news, and faculty operations reports.

Useful features of the Portal include:

• searching for people and checking their presence in the workplace,
• internal information, guidelines and procedures searchable by specific situations and topics
• quick contacts in case of problems or questions,
• the most important operational guidelines,
• information about what is happening at the Faculty,
• benefits and how to obtain them, and much more.

All faculty information has a clear colour distinction (faculty green) on the MUNI Portal and has a quick contact at the bottom, i.e. a link to the contact person responsible for the topic. Therefore, always make sure to switch to the Faculty of Science tab at the top of the page.
