The Rector's Award for Excellence in Teaching was awarded to internal teachers of Masaryk University. In the field of natural sciences and medicine, Iva Dřímalová from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University received this recognition in the form of a bronze medal and a diploma. This year, for the first time, the presentation of the Rector's Awards for Outstanding Teachers of the Year became part of the Opening of the Academic Year and the announcement of the University Wine for 2023/2024.
Dr. Iva Dřímalová is a lecturer at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics. She teaches several core courses at the Institute. She is a lecturer in the course Linear Algebra, where she successfully strives to ensure that students understand the basic concepts related to vector spaces and linear representations and are able to use them routinely. He teaches a course called Practical Mathematics for Teachers, in which he teaches students to work collaboratively in the study of mathematics and seeks to develop their competence to learn. Before the beginning of the semester - in early September - she is usually one of the practitioners at the summer school. Her main goal is to help students who come with poorer math skills from high school to overcome their handicap so that they have a better chance of successfully completing their first year of study.
