This week, we hold another graduation ceremonies for our successful graduates. We would like to congratulate the new masters, engineers and bachelors and wish them much professional and personal success!
The Bohunice campus came alive on Saturday 25 March 2023 with lectures and workshops for the students of the Masaryk Junior University MjUNI and their parents. As part of the sixth teaching day, 250 participants aged 9-18 had the opportunity to try their hand at working in state-of-the-art laboratories and other specialised departments at the Faculty of Science, CEITEC and the Faculty of Sports Studies.
The students were welcomed at the beginning of the day by the Dean Tomáš Kašparovský who also prepared a lecture for parents on the topic “Nutrition and a healthy lifestyle through the eyes of a biochemist”.
The students tried their hand at chemistry, took a closer look at microorganisms from the microworld and discovered interesting details about cells. They also learned interesting facts about the world of insects and bats. All this in a fun way, with practical demonstrations and even living organisms.
In the “Little Gaudeamus” program, which is designed for young people aged 15 to 18, students from the Faculty of Science shared their experiences of student life and studying at the faculty. A presentation was also given on Faculty of Sports Studies by the Vice Dean Michal Kumstát, and one about CEITEC by Kateřina Ornerová.
