HARMONY has demonstrated to be a multidisciplinary consortium of outstanding quality, with proven experience in research in HMs. Only the synergistic and close collaboration between the different multi expertise groups already in place in the HARMONY alliance will achieve the main goal of this project. It has a balanced mix of clinicians, scientists, pharmacologists, regulatory agencies, informaticians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, bioinformaticians, biologists, ethics experts, lawyers from public Institutions and from the main Pharma Industries involved in therapy for hematologic malignancies (HMs), and, most importantly, patient associations and advocates.
As a next stage, HARMONY PLUS will reach the highest excellence in science and a new project vision by improving the current Big Data analytic capabilities reached in HARMONY. This objective will be reached by applying statistical modelling and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, specially Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Neural Networks able to characterize complex processes. The size and quality of the datasets already available in HARMONY, together with those to be incorporated offer a unique opportunity to create accurate models for HMs. HARMONY repository will allow to share patient-related information without the need to disclose or publish it while providing security and anonymization as to fulfill with the ethical, regulatory and legal requirements.
