In brain research, the so-called tensor imaging belongs to the main tools in the analysis of images. Suppose the measured diffusion can be assumed to enjoy the Gaussian distribution. The DTI modality works reasonably well in that case, but as soon as the individual voxels meet more than one fiber, other methods are necessary. The higher degree tensors come into the game.
In this project, we shall employ the Finsler Geometry for tractography problems, including the crossing regions.
