From Labs to Life: PhD Journeys Unplugged
From coffee breaks to career tips, students explored the twists and turns of the PhD journey with those who’ve walked the path before them.
Open Days held on January 25 and 28, 2020, and more than 700 applicants for Bachelor‘s or Master‘s degree programs (following the Bachelor‘s one) came to the faculty.
At both the Kotlářská and Bohunice campuses, general info sessions were provided on how to apply, how the admission procedure works, in which cases they may forego the admission procedure, and what studying at the Faculty of Science actually entails. At the booths of individual departments, they obtained detailed information about specific study programs from our students, covering fields such as geography, geology, physics, or mathematics at Kotlářská and anthropology, biochemistry, biology and chemistry at the Bohunice campus. Tours of the teaching laboratories and an opportunity to look into the world of microorganisms enjoyed great interest.
