Important dates for the 2021/2022 admission procedure

  • from 1 November 2020 to 28 February 2021

    File an application

    When filing an electronic application (no other form of application is possible), you will also check the conditions for admission to the programme you chose.

    A separate e-application must be filed for each programme. You can choose no more than 3 specialisations within a single programme; you can only be admitted to one of them, based on the order of priorities you chose. The fee for one application to SCI MUNI is CZK 650. You can file any number of applications you wish, but you must pay for each of them separately.

    Open Doors Day

    You will surely use the opportunity to visit the Open Doors Day at our Faculty. You will find all you need about the admission procedure and learn about the Faculty’s premises and background. Presentations will take place in both of our buildings: physics, mathematics, geology and geography will be presented at Kotlářská 2,  and the biology, chemistry, biochemistry and anthropology programmes will be introduced at the Bohunice University Campus.

  • February 2021

    Application for waiver of the entrance examination

    Applications for waiver of the entrance examination can be filed not later than by 28 February 2021 (the date of dispatch is decisive). By that date, you also have to state this fact in your e-application.

    Foreign nationals (except for Slovaks) applying for studies in the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programmes in the Czech language, whose entrance examination has been waived, are obliged to prove their knowledge of the Czech language by passing an examination in Czech language at the B1 level according to the ALTE Framework not later than when enrolling in study.

    The Dean’s statement on waiver of the entrance examination will be published in your e-application by 22 March 2021. Applicants whose application is not granted by the Dean have to appear for the entrance examination according to the invitation they received.

  • March to April

    Wait for an invitation

    Check in the e-application whether it is complete – paid for and confirmed. At the beginning of April, we will deliver to you an electronic invitation to the Test of Study Prerequisites (TSP), and where appropriate, also an invitation to specialised tests (ST). You will find it in your e-application.

  • 24 to 25 April 2021

    Appear for the examination

    The TSP will take place at the end of April. The following dates were set this year:

    Tests of Study Prerequisites: 
    24 – 25 April 2021 – Brno and other cities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

    Specialised tests:
    24 April 2021 – only in Brno

    You can choose the date and place of the TSP in your e-application according to the available capacity. If you are to take a specialised test as part of the entrance examination, you have to choose the date of 24 April 2021 in Brno.

    Check the result

    We will publish the results of the TSP online within seven days of the examination. You can check then whether your result would have been good enough to be admitted last year. But bear in mind that the required score might be different this year.

  • June

    Check the result

    You can find the decision on admission or non-admission in your e-application. The date of its publication will be specified.

  • June, July and September

    Enrol in studies

    At the same time with the decision on admission to study, an invitation to enroll will also be published in the e-application. You cannot choose the regular date of enrolment; you have to appear on the date specified in the invitation. You will become a student of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University upon enrolment. If you cannot appear for enrolment on the regular date, you need to apply for a substitute date by an e-mail sent to the Office for Studies.
