We have developed a bench top format prototype using ozone gas to sterilise seeds. The prototype is in quite advanced stage but requires thorough biological as well as ergonomics and safety testing. Therefore, with this proposal we aim to resolve the above questions at CEITEC in the laboratory of Tomasz Nodzyński.The results of this proposal will be the evaluation of creation feasibility of a robust prototype enabling to evaluate the commercialisation potential of the ozone seed steriliser for laboratory applications, such device is very much needed but is not available, to our knowledge, on the market. We have developed benchtop device that is working with assistance of a trained operator. We want to test and troubleshoot it for potential software and engineering problems make it robust enough for unassisted short (1-2 weeks) demonstrations with potential client that have already showed high interest. We want also to perform detailed biological testing of the prototype in regards of its efficiency and effects on the viability of the seeds.
