Description of microbiota in brain and cerebrospinal fluid in Alzheimer’s patients

This project is focused on describing microbiota in samples of brain and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Main aim of this project is to use our unique specific methods with high resolution suited for samples with low abundance of microbial DNA. Using these methods, DNA from samples will be isolated and 16S rRNA libraries for sequencing will be prepared. Results form brain tissue and CSF of AD patients will be compared with healthy controls.
