The study of surface morphology to acoustic response during laser ablation

The main aim of the project is an assessment of the surface-morphological properties contribution in LIBS and LA-ICP-MS methods. The acoustic shock-wave, generated by plasma propagation during laser-matter interaction, is going to be captured by various types of microphones in altering geometrical setup. The experiments will be performed in the ablation chamber in the case of LA-ICP-MS as well as in an opened-air system during LIBS measurements. The sample surface modifications will be studied.
